Conference Venue

The conference will take place in the main building of the Università degli Studi di Milano, Via Festa del Perdono 7, Milan (Italy).

Via Festa del Perdono is situated in the city center, within walking distance from the Duomo di Milano (see tourist information).

The University is a five-minute walk from Missori underground station (Metropolitana, M3-yellow line) and Duomo underground station (M1-red line).

A wide network of buses and trams and the underground system (metropolitana) cover the entire city and generally all the main places can be reached within half an hour. For more invormation: ATM.

How to reach Milan

Milan can be easily reached by air, train, and car. The city is served by two airports, Linate, the city airport of Milan, and Malpensa, about 50 km northwest of the city. Low cost airlines also fly to Bergamo Orio al Serio, about 50 km northeast of Milan.

From Linate Airport

Ordinary city bus, line nr. 73 and line nr. X73-direct (1 euro tickets can be purchased inside the airport at the news stand or at the vending machine) takes you to the city center (Piazza San Babila). For more information: ATM.

Starfly buses (4 euro tickets, 7 euro return tickets) take you to Central Station. For more information: Starfly.

From Malpensa Airport

The train Malpensa Express connects Malpensa Airport with the center of Milan: Milan Cadorna FN Station (11 euro tickets can be purchased inside the airport or at vending machines) and Central Station (7 euro tickets). Travel time is about 30 minutes, with trains that leave in both directions every half-hour.

There is also a shuttle bus service from Malpensa to the Central Train Station (7.50 euro tickets). For more information: Malpensa Shuttle.

From Orio al Serio Airport

There is a bus service from Orio al Serio to Milan Central Train Station (9 euro tickets can be purchased inside the airport). For more information: Autostradale.

There is also a shuttle bus service from Orio al Serio to the Milan Central Train Station (9 euro tickets and 14 euro return tickets can be purchased directly on the bus). For more information: Orioshuttle.
